My 14-month-old kept tapping the green pad long after the music stopped, which tells me the cause-and-effect mode really clicked for her. The two play modes are a nice touch for switching between tunes and melodies when she gets bored.
The touch surface is super responsive—my 8-month-old figured out the two modes within minutes, tapping away at the lights and giggling at every melody. It's held up well to being dropped and slobbered on, which is all I really ask from a baby toy.
